Baptist History, Heritage and Doctrine – Historic Baptist Stance Regarding the Kingdom of God

“The church present is the called out assembly that became the depository of the kingdom. It was appointed by Jesus unto the church in Luke 22:29-30.The kingdom is not in word but in power. Power being governmental authority.1 Corinthians 4:20- “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”The kingdom is the aggregate contained in scriptural churches. No single church is the totality of the kingdom but is part of the whole.

As a tribe in Israel is not the total of the kingdom of Israel but an aggregate of the whole. As in this nation of the United States, no single state is the totality of the federal government but part.The kingdom of God, Christ, is laws, ordinances, subjects, positions of governance, dominion, king, and scepter. This kingdom was set up during the time of Rome. Since then, it has been expanding through aggregate method contained in scriptural churches.Upon the return of Christ, the kingdom will no longer be in aggregate form but in completeness as gathered unto Christ and in on global exercise as Christ government will be global and fill all the earth.

All will be subjects in the kingdom not church members. Even the wicked will be within his dominion. You will have the opportunity to rule with him. If we suffer with him, we shall rule with him. As we look for his return we hope we will be accepted of him and be worthy of position.Abraham will take possession of his inheritance as promised of the land.Yes, Abraham will sit there, and so will many others, but he will not be part of the bride. The bride is another subject that can be covered latter.

All are not equal in the fullness of the kingdom called “in the regeneration,” known as the government shall be upon his shoulder.The church is the only entity that is not made of man but planted by God. Its purpose is defined by executorship of kingdom law and is to prepare a people for his return if happily they may rule with as they are instructed in doctrine, gifts and exercised now to this cause.

The church is to be the showcase of this kingdom now practiced and understood in aggregate form and then in fullness of global power when he returns.

You will have those who are cast out of his kingdom, referring to those who will be known for their selfish choices in this life in denial of Christ and his doctrine. They will be cast out for any opportunity to govern with Christ unto utter shame.”
