“Are You A Bible Scholar?”
“The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, …” Malachi 2:12
Most people would consider this a term not applicable to them. It would be thought only for a person with a high IQ and not attainable by them.

The definition of a scholar is a learned person, one who attends school or studies with a teacher. The world scholar is only used twice in the Bible. In our text, the one who answers is the scholar and the teacher is the master. How does he answer? Taking time, being an erudite student of what is being taught. This student acquires knowledge by study and research.

This makes me think of an old southern saying, “root hog, root.” Root is to turn up the soil with the snout, to poke, to pry, search to find something. As a Bible student, we should be “erudite,” that is digging in, searching and finding what God has given to us. To learn of God and the salvation He has provided for us through His Son Jesus Christ.

The other place the word scholar is used can be found in I Chron. 25:8, “… the teacher as the scholar. ” There seems to be no difference in ability, age or position in life, God holds us all equally responsible to Him. He is no respecter of persons (see Rom. 2:11). We are told to study His Word as a workman and to rightly divide what we unashamedly discover (see II Tim. 2:15). When we are faithful to the study of God’s Word, we become students, that is scholars of the Bible. — J.P. MR. JOSEPH C. POLKEY, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Orlando, FL JP

If your post is not about A Warming Ministry we will remove it. The standards we use in this group … We teach the entire counsel of God, based on the Authorized King James Bible, Literal Baptistic Biblical Interpretation, including prophecy and Baptist History and Distinctives. Roger Fulk ….What do I do? . I am spending several hours a day studying Baptistic Theology, Christian Apologetics and current and historical events as they apply to Biblical principles. I am developing, what some people call, a “Warning Ministry”. Looking back, I have been doing that all my life. Researching, teaching and discerning the truth. This has always been my calling. I research the research and the Bible. Many of my sources are written by people who have dedicated and spent much of their entire lives writing and researching various subjects. In some cases writing books and preaching sermons that would be difficult for anyone to duplicate and certainly not in my lifetime. My passion is teaching and passing on resources and information to people to help others. My purpose in maintaining this ministry is to biblically present the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, to teach what the Bible says about the many controversial issues today, to refute false teaching and teachers to include the false churches and the cults, and to help biblically train and disciple those that want to learn God’s word. Roger E. Fulk, Sr. “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity” (1 Cor. 16:13-14) This is an excellent article on Warning Ministries! https://www.proclaimanddefend.org/2016/04/15/the-biblical-ministry-of-warning/ The standards we use in this group … We teach the entire counsel of God, based on the Authorized King James Bible, Literal Baptistic Biblical Interpretation, including prophecy and Baptist History and Distinctives.
