This book is one of the better written most engaging Baptist History books out there. It’s purpose is a little different than many of those out there. A few years back I heard him describe the idea – there are a lot of 500-1000 page Baptist histories out there that are gathering dust on a shelf- This was intended to give an easily readable Baptist that is within the scope of anyone to read. This is a book that will interest the person in the pew as well as the pulpit- it is a down to earth book that covers the scope of Baptist history in an easily readable yet informative scale. Thus this good to give to folks as it is written in a layman’s level. It is also available in Spanish as “El Fiel Testigo Bautista” I forgot where I got my copy- I had it before I even met Bro Phil. It actually has an older cover- I attached a pic of the most common cover.
