God Remembers Your Problem
Your “God Remembers Your Problem”
“And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her,
and opened her womb.” Genesis 30:22
Rachel was barren, physically and spiritually. She was so
focused on her physical problem that she was not aware of her
spiritual problem. She had allowed the barrenness of her
womb to blind her to the barrenness of her worship. However,
the Lord knows what we don’t know and He sees what we don’t
see. He is going to help her both physically and spiritually, by
bringing a son into her life. The son’s name was Joseph.
Rachel triumphs in verses 23 & 24, both physically and
spiritually. Her faith is renewed as well as her womb. She
acknowledges the Lord by using his name as Elohim and as
Jehovah. She announces by faith that God will give her a son.
The Lord honored her faith and gave her Benjamin.
God remembered her problem and saw it on a different
level than she did. Just as He used the son to fulfill her life
physically and spiritually, He does ours as well. He knows our
problems and He sees more than we see and He has given us
His Son, to fulfill our lives and solve our problems. His name
is Jesus! He builds faith in our hearts, just as He did in hers.
Rachel’s problem was impossible for her to solve, but it was
not beyond the purview of God to solve. What a joy to know
that He remembers our problems!
The little chorus rings out the wonderful truth: “Nothing is
impossible when you put your trust in God; Nothing is
impossible when you’re trusting in His Word.” (Eugene
Clark). – R.G
